Our Story – A Friendship Built on Food
Hi! We’re Susi and Kelly – best friends for over 30 years and the proud owners of Bon Appetit. Our journey started with a shared love of food and a desire to create a space where people could grab a fresh, satisfying meal without the fuss. Kelly has been in catering since leaving school, while Susi decided it was time for a break from computers and spreadsheets to do what she truly loves – feeding people!
We opened Bon Appetit in 2019 with one goal: to serve fresh, affordable food with a personal touch. Since then, our little sandwich bar in Colchester has become a local favourite, known for custom-made sandwiches, hearty daily specials, and our famous mutton curry (served on the last Friday of every month – pre-order essential!).
